Mission and Core Values:

SOAR’s mission and core values are the foundation of our programs. Our participants, families, and staff can expect the same high standards at every location thanks to these statements. Visit our mission and core values to learn more.

Who you will serve:

Participants range in age from 8-25. Most are high functioning, very intelligent, and struggle with issues such as impulsivity, disorganization, inattention, poor social skills, and more. Some students may occasionally come with additional diagnoses such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder, among others.

We are very strength-focused! Our students deal with the reality of their LD and ADHD challenges every day at home and school, so when they come to SOAR, we focus their strengths and abilities and help them develop those skills. You would also be helping the students work on personal growth goals that address the common ADHD/LD challenges of disorganization, poor social skills, or impulsive behavior. At the end of each course, staff will write an evaluation on each student that highlights their areas of strength and details their progress toward these goals.
