SUMMER CAMP AT SOAR
ADHD and LD Outdoor Adventure Summer Camp
For over 45 years, SOAR outdoor adventure summer camps have helped youth with ADHD and learning differences develop self-confidence, social skills and life skills. SOAR staff and instructors provide a community where campers are celebrated for their gifts, where they come to make friends, and where they have the freedom to be themselves. Campers get the opportunity to live in tents during the majority of their course and participate in exciting outdoor adventure activities such as rock climbing, horseback riding, SCUBA diving, llama treks, whitewater rafting, backpacking and much more! We are proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association.
Our camps offer outdoor adventure activities, for beginners and beyond, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, the sunny Florida Keys, and wild and wonderful Wyoming. We also offer international camp courses in tropical Belize and Costa Rica (offered in alternate years).
In addition to our outdoor adventure summer programs for youth and young adults with ADHD and LD, we provide a winter break program, Christmas in the Florida Keys, for ages 8 to 18. Our Spanish Immersion course, offered each summer through the Academy at SOAR, gives students the opportunity to gain Spanish I or Spanish II credit.

My Camp Experience
"The program was great for our family. The llama trek and mountain climbing really build self confidence. Steven made friends and felt liked which was a big confidence boost. He was also able to be a leader in the group. We also really like the low counselor to camper ratio and the intake, debrief process."
