45 years of Adventure

Summer Camp at SOAR offers a supportive environment where campers are encouraged to be themselves and are celebrated for their strengths. Campers set personal goals and are supported by our staff & their peers to succeed. Camp offers a fun atmosphere where participants feel like they belong and their challenges are understood.

Lifelong Friendships

With a small group setting we are able to guide campers through social interactions as they get to know one another and begin to form friendships. While most of our campers have ADHD or similar learning challenges, we extend the invitation to siblings as well! Check out our Dates & Rates page online for more information on course offerings and our multiple session discounts.

Our Campers

For over 45 years, SOAR outdoor adventure summer camps have helped youth with ADHD and learning disabilities develop self confidence, social skills and life skills. SOAR staff and instructors provide a community where campers are celebrated for their gifts, where they can come to make friends, and where they have the freedom to be themselves. We strive to empower our campers to try new things, make goals, and have fun!

Our Adventures

Summer Camps at SOAR offer outdoor adventure activities, for beginners and beyond, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, the sunny Florida Keys, wild and wonderful Wyoming, the coast of California, and the Adirondacks region of New York. We also offer international camp courses in tropical Belize and Costa Rica (offered in alternate years). Campers get the opportunity to live in tents during the majority of their adventure and participate in exciting activities such as rock climbing, horseback riding, SCUBA diving, llama trekking, whitewater rafting, surfin, and much more!
