SOAR's first Eagle Run Fundraiser was in 1984. This fall, on its 30th anniversary, we are hosting another Eagle Run in North Carolina. Contact us to learn more!

“SOAR’s positive impact on our daughter’s academic and holistic growth is truly amazing.  SOAR gave us hope.  We give to SOAR to pass that same hope along to other families” — Bill and Amy Moore

When you support SOAR you are helping a child to realize their strength, a student to discover a passion for learning, and a camper to create lasting friendships. You are making the Journey to Success possible. SOAR programs provide participants the opportunity for growth in a nurturing, supportive environment. Our experience, our low staff-to-student ratio, and the incredible program activities we offer do not come without a cost. Tuition costs are out of reach for some in need of our services, and we strive to bridge the gap through financial assistance for those who qualify.

With your financial gift, we can make this possible for those who may not otherwise be able to attend

Our rich military history has always led us to find ways to support military families. In partnership with the Bell Foundation, SOAR has provided scholarships to children of retired, active, and wounded or fallen military servicemen and women for the past 15 years. In 2016, SOAR developed the Military Scholarship Fund to allows to continue to serve families who have served our country. This fund is solely for children of military families. To learn more or to give to this fund, please visit soarnc.org/military.

We believe that every child deserves a positive and fun summer camp experience. For the nearly 6.4 million children in the United States diagnosed with ADHD, this simply is not possible. SOAR’s General Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to children in desperate need of our services who otherwise would not be able to attend.

Our vision of success includes the growth and development of each and every camper, student, and staff that comes through our doors. That vision of growth extends to our facilities as well. We are excited about opportunities to challenge, inspire, and serve the youth we work within new and impactful ways.

Here is a list of current projects we are seeking funding for:

  • Alpine Tower and Zip Line at Eagle View Ranch
  • Expansion of Adirondack style camp shelters at Balsam Base
  • Build a bathroom / covered facility for the Marion Franklin Memorial Activity Field at Balsam Base

Thanks to these generous SOAR families, we can provide a full scholarship for a family each summer. We are thankful for these wonderful alumni families and their willingness to help!
