Raised in the belief of “it takes a village” Andrea grew up around a large family in Michigan. Her love for the outdoors blossomed through high adrenaline sports including: racing dirt bikes and snowmobiles, hiking and hunting, and soccer. She also developed a great interest in children by starting a day care with her cousin and volunteering at an equine therapy center and a respite home for families and children with disabilities in Lansing. Her passion led her to pursue a degree that would allow her to continue working with children.
After graduating, Andrea traveled south to complete her internship at SOAR, where she fell in love with the mountains. Andrea has filled many positions at SOAR including Academy field staff, summer course director and logistics assistant. In the fall of 2013, Andrea joined the full time team as the Registrar. She holds certifications in WFA, First Aid and CPR for the Health Professional, Lifeguarding, and a CNA.
