Where will he sleep? Do you have electricity? Where exactly is Balsam, NC? What are the other kids like? What if she gets homesick? The questions are endless when it comes to choosing a summer camp! At our upcoming SOAR Open House, you can experience a piece of Summer Camp at SOAR for yourself, and of course, get all of those questions in! Our experienced SOAR staff will be on base all day to show you around, answer ALL of your questions, make course recommendations, and most importantly, help you feel more comfortable with sending your child to camp!
Why Should I Come?
We only have our SOAR Open House once a year! Similar to a tour, you will get to see our facilities including the cabins where campers will stay while on base and the dining hall where all meals are served, but during the Open House, you will get to experience a little piece of summer! We’ll be simulating rock climbing session on our rock wall and utilizing our activity field for archery and hatchet throwing sessions!
There’s No Time like the Present!
You’ll have the opportunity to complete the application process while you’re here! Our Admissions Director, Lynne Neaves, will be available to answer any questions you have while filling out the application and will be able to process your enrollment on site! As you are filling out the application and answering questions about your child, Lynne will also be able to help you in selecting a course based on your child’s strengths, interests, and goals for the summer!
What You Need to Know
Our SOAR Open House is Saturday April 25th from 10:00-2:00. Once we receive your RSVP, you will be prompted to select a time slot! While the day will remain flexible, you will spend around 1 hour touring campus and around 1 hour participating in activities!
