This experience is designed specifically for high school graduates as they navigate the transition into adult life. This unique program provides instruction in organization, goal setting, independence, life skills and social skills. This course takes advantage of various regions in the Southeast, and includes adventures in the Blue Ridge Mountains as well as the low country. It is designed to promote the development of time and money management, interpersonal communication, activity planning, and group participation. Participants are provided guidance by staff, but are also empowered to live as young adults, making decisions and developing independence. They will do community service, visit Charleston, SC, and do numerous adventure activities during their 18 days with us! Unlike our other SOAR camps, our Postgraduate campers will have access to their cell phones during the course. We will use this as an opportunity to teach responsibility and encourage independence.

Young adults: making decisions and developing independence.

“I just want to tell you how happy I am that SOAR exits. We have tried so many programs over the summer for my son and SOAR is the only one that has been a perfect fit. It gives him so much confidence. He loves telling people about how far he has hiked or how high he has climbed. The outdoors is also very calming to him and just puts his mind at ease. Thank you. We are looking forward to many more summers with SOAR.”
