Outdoor Classrooms

SOAR’s Outdoor Classrooms give students an opportunity to grow as a team through incredible outdoor adventures. With a focus on team building, communication, and problem solving, students will gain valuable life skills that can be transferred back to their life at school and home.
These adventures are crafted to meet your school’s specific needs and can take place in a variety of locations including North Carolina, Wyoming, southern California, the Florida Keys, Costa Rica, Belize, and more!

Sample Outdoor Classrooms

  • 3-night, 4-day Adventure at SOAR’s Balsam Base including Whitewater Rafting, High Ropes course, and Caving.
  • 2-night, 3-day Adventure at Gee Creek State Park in TN including Rock Climbing & Rappelling, Kayaking, Games, and Team Building Initiatives.
  • 5-night, 6-day Adventure in Southern California including Surfing, Rock Climbing, Sea Kayaking, and Mountain Biking.
  • 6-night, 7-day International Trip to Belize or Costa Rica including Ziplines, Horseback Riding, Snorkeling, and More!

What’s Included

  • SOAR will facilitate all program activities. To support community development, we highly recommend that teachers and/or administrators also attend.
  • All meals will be supplied by SOAR. We will work with you to develop a menu that best meets your needs.
  • SOAR will provide all gear and equipment needed for activities (i.e. tents, camp stoves, canoes, harnesses, etc.)
  • SOAR has over 40 years of experience leading outdoor adventures for youth. We will provide a safe and structured environment for your students to thrive.
