SOAR Launches Two New Specialty Course for 40th Summer Season!

Next summer will be SOAR’s 40th Anniversary. These past 40 years have been a journey of adventures, growth, and life changing experiences for our kids, parents, our staff, and everyone who has been a part of SOAR in some way. We are immensely grateful for the support we have received and for the encouragement we receive each and every year that keeps us excited and motivated all year long!  What better way to celebrate than to go on new adventures?! For the 2016 Summer Season, we’ll be offering not one, but two new courses! Learn more about the Caribbean Sailing/SCUBA Adventure and the California Surfing Adventure below!

Caribbean Sailing/SCUBA Adventure

Dates: June 30 – July 10, 2016

Cost: $3,900

Ages: 14-18

This course has been a dream of founder Jonathan Jones’, and he will be leading its inaugural year! This sailing and diving spectacular begins and ends on St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands. The course includes a 7-night / 8-day adventure on board an amazing 44-ft catamaran. Each day is filled with diving, fishing, exploring and a variety of shore excursions on different islands. This course is an amazing opportunity for SOAR Alumni who are PADI Openwater Ceritified as there will be three days of SCUBA opportunities for campers at sites including ship wrecks and coral gardens. The course ends with one final night at a beachside hotel before leaving this tropical paradise. This course will have limited availability with only 8 spaces, so sign up fast!

California Surfing Adventure

Dates: June 14 – June 23, 2016

Cost: $3,400

Ages: 14-18

What better place to hang ten than on the sandy beaches of southern California? This adventure gives campers an opportunity to focus on and develop their surfing skills, and in turn experience the pride and satisfaction of riding the waves. With 6 total days of surfing instruction, campers will spend 2 days at a time surfing with expeditions inbetween. These expeditions include visiting the Channel Islands, and a day of rock climbing or stand up paddleboarding—your choice!
